      Bertha Mae Samson, 78, Oswego, mother of Marion Denson, Mexico, and Katherine Davis, Adams, died Tuesday at Oswego Hospital.

      The funeral was held at 1 p.m. today at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial was in North Volney Cemetery.

      Bertha Mae Samson, 78, of 46 Mercer St. died Tuesday at Oswego Hospital.

      Mrs. Samson was a member of the Salvation Army in Oswego. Her husband, Clarence, died in 1978,

      Surviving are six daughters, Marion Denson of Mexico, Ella Smith of Scriba, Katherine Davis of Adams and Betty Hall, Doris Samson and Jane Samson, all of Oswego; three sons, Robert of Hannibal, Edward of Scriba and John of Oswego; a sister, Carrie Butler of Fulton; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

      Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St. Burial will be in North Volney Cemetery.
