Hazel M. Lamb, 98, of Brookview Drive died Wednesday at Community Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of the town of Lebanon, Mrs. Lamb resided most of her life in the Hamilton area. She was a 1913 graduate of Hamilton School and attended teachers training class in Sherburne. She was a teacher before her marriage. Her husband, Llewellyn, died in 1967.
Mrs. Lamb was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, where she formerly taught Sunday school. She also was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and a volunteer at Gerrit-Smith Infirmary, Eaton.
Surviving are seven sons, Eugene of Clifton Park, Darwin of Waterville, Alan "Tom," Louis and Richard, all of Hamilton, Keith of Eaton and Llewellyn "Junie" of Oneida; two daughters, Phyllis Hanson of Hamburg and Beatrice Little of Hamilton; 30 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Burgess Funeral Home, the Rev. Thomas Clark officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 25 Broad St.
Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hamilton or Community Memorial Hospital.
