- Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday September 6, 1955 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Fannie Wilder, widow of Charles Wilder, died late Sunday at the Park Nursing Home where she had been a patient since Friday. She had been in ill health for several months. Mrs. Wilder was born in Pulaski, the daughter of Byron and Elizabeth Soule Stark. She was educated in Pulaski schools and on December 4, 1896 she married to Charles Wilder, who died in 1944. She was very active in business for many years, having been associated with the Hancock Music Company, Oswego, for several years, and she later operated a Millinery and Ladies Apparel Ship in partnership with Mrs. Lila Washburn for a number of years. She was a member of the Oswego County Republican Committee also at one time. A member of the Pulaski Baptist Church, she taught a Sunday School class for a period. She was an active member of the W. C. T. U., and also a member of the Pulaski Civic Club. Surviving her is a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Dorothy) Geer; two grandchildren, Ruth and James Geer, and a niece, Mrs. N. Brimmer Hunt, all of Pulaski. The funeral will be at the family home at 13 Maple Avenue on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Frederick Anderson, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Friends may call at the home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
