    • Newspaper Obituary - February 29, 1912 Sandy Creek News - Charles W. Jamerson - October 13, 1875, Charles W. Jamerson was born in the house from which he passed away Friday February 10, 1912. He was the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Jamerson and with his brother, Will, grew to manhood and was educated in the schools of this vicinity. February 22, 1894 he was united in marriage to Daisy E. Allard. The clergyman who performed the ceremony, Rev. M.G. Seymour, later baptized and received into membership of the M.E. church. Mr. Jamerson, who became one of trie best loved and respected members of that church from which congregation he will be greatly missed. Two children, Earl and Dorothy, remain with their mother and the aged grandfather, Darius Hale in the home, with the memory of a tender father and loving husband to comfort them. The tender hearted kindness of this good man was shown especially to children who always found in him a friend, no task too much trouble if it gave pleasure to the children, particularly of the surrounding school district and neighborhood. It was said of him that there was no child but he could make friends with. Always ready in time of illness or depth to do anything to lighten the burden or carry comfort and cheer to the sick room or house of mourning; and at this time the genuine grief expressed by the throngs of friends proved the loyal love to his memory. The funeral of Charles W. Jamerson which was postponed on account of the storm was held on Saturday. A large concourse of mourning friends gathered at the house and Methodist church of which he was a member, to pay this last tribute of respect to his many manly traits and exemplary character for Mr. Jamerson was most highly esteemed by all who knew him. Beautiful flowers Were in profusion, and Rev. W.M. Hydon officiated. In spite of the wintry weather many accompanied the remains to Woodlawn cemetery where they were laid at rest.
