    • Newspaper Obituary - January 16, 1981 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Area Deaths - Mrs. Bessie K. Block - Oneida - Mrs. Bessie K. Block, 84, Upper Lenox Avenue, died Wednesday evening. Born in Richland on August 17, she was the daughter of Charles and Emma Colvin. A resident of Oneida for over 50 years, she was a member of the Wampsville Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Block was the wife of the late Louis M. Block. Surviving are a son, L. Leonard of Oneida; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Cook and Mrs. Vincent Cagwin, both of Oneida; a brother, Fayette Colvin of Verona; five sisters, Mrs. Ismay Morgan, Mrs. Laura Miller, Mrs. Stewart Hubbard, and Mrs. Nellie DeVaul, all of Oneida, and Mrs. Howard Cross of Chittenango; seven grandchildren, and a great grandchild. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at Campbell-Dean Funeral Home Inc., 260 Main St. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
