    • Pulaski - Mrs. Mattie G. Stewart, 80, wife of Fred Stewart, died Wednesday following a long illness. Born in Parish, Sept. 8, 1864, the daughter of Welcome and Lois (Spicer) Rood, she was married to Mr. Stewart in 1887. They had spent practically all of their lives in the Hicks District, south of Pulaski. Survivors are her husband and one son, Leland Stewart. Funeral services will be held at the Fernwood Methodist church on Friday at 2pm by the Rev. Stanely Skinner. Burial will be in Mapleview cemetery.
