      Jean Legare November 18, 2006

      Jean Legare, 80, of the Valley, died Saturday at Community General Hospital. A homemaker, Mrs. Legare was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar L. Legare, in 1987; a daughter, Jean Legare, in 1978; and a son-in-law, Bob Ortman, in 2004.

      Survived by a son, Lawrence (Gloria) Legare of Odessa, NY ; two daughters, Linda Ortman of Syracuse and Carol (David) Cummings of Pennellville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren.

      Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse . Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina Street.
