Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, September 13, 1992 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Helen E. Wansink, 84, Retired Farmer, Dies - Helen E. Wansink, 84, F. Lacey Road, former dairy farmer, died Saturday morning at Easton Hospital, Easton, Pennsylvania. She had been living with her daughter in Easton for the past several years. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry E. Plaugher officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Northern Oswego County Ambulance. Surviving are a son, Dirk, Pulaski; two daughters, Janice Beck, Easton, and Elizabeth Black, Dallas, Ore.; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Anna Cancro, Tarrytown. She was born April 13, 1908, in Fernwood, a daughter of Frank and Mary Hutchinson Lacey. She graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1925 and from Pulaski teachers' training class in 1926. She taught in the Pulaski school district for two years. On December 17, 1930, she married John Wansink. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm on F. Lacey Road for 50 years. Mr. Wansink died January 6, 1978. Mrs. Wansink was a member of the Fernwood Baptist Church, South Richland Grange and Pulaski Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 159.
