      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 9, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Richland - Nelson Obleman, 63, Dies In Richland - Nelson Obleman, age 63, died July 31 at his home in Richland. He was born July 22, 1909 in Richland as the son of Christopher and Martha Gardner Obleman. Obleman attended Richland and Pulaski Academy Schools and married Dorothy Filkins October 19, 1929. They resided in Richland all their married life. Nelson Obleman was employed for many years by Penn Central Railroad but retired one year ago due to illness. For the past ten years he operated the Filkins Hotel in Richland with his wife. Mr. Obleman was a member of Park United Methodist Church and the Richland Fire Department. Nelson Obleman is survived by his wife Dorothy, two sons, Hollis of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, and Robert of Pollus-Verdes, California; seven grandchildren, and one brother, Charles Obleman of Richland. Obleman's funeral was Thursday, August 3 at 1 p.m. from Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial was at Richland Cemetery with Rev. Harold Barnard officiating.
