    • Newspaper Obituary - Friday, January 16, 1931 Wilkes-Barre Times Leader - MRS. JOHN A. JOHNSON - Mrs. John A. Johnson, 47, of 448 East Main street, Plymouth, died this morning at 9:20 o'clock in Homeopathic Hospital. She was admitted on Monday and operated on Wednesday. Born in Plymouth the deceased resided there until after her marriage and then lived in Shickshinny for 20 years, returning to Plymouth about a year ago. Her maiden name was Cora Sprake. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Plymouth. She was well known in Plymouth and Shickshinny. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband and five children, Carl, Earl, Geraldine, Mary and Emily, all at home. Her father, James H. Sprake, resides at 55 Jeanette street, Plymouth. She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Stella Search, of Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Emily Daniels of Norristown; Maude and Edna Sprake, at home.

      Newspaper Obituary - January 21, 1931 Wilkes Barre Record - Mrs J. A. Johnson Funeral - Funeral services for Mrs. John A. Johnson, of 448 East Main street, were held at the house at 2 yesterday afternoon. Rev. Clarence H. Russell, of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Mrs. John Daugherty sang, Abide With Me and Asleep in Jesus, Departed was well remembered with floral offerings, these being carried by Clinton Evans, Albert Nervitt, Jr., Russel Pieton and William Davis. Pall bearers were Charles Hendershot, Clavin De Hart, Harry koons, Evan Lewis, Raymon Pieton and Albert Deering. Interment was in Edge Hill cemetery.
