Newspaper Obituary - Monday, December 20, 1943 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mexico - Etta M. Dyke, 72, widow of Sardius Dyke, died at her home near Texas Saturday morning. She had been in ill health for some time. Born March 10, 1871, in Frankford Hills, Herkimer county, she was a daughter of Albert and Frances Rushmer Stewart. She had been a resident of Mexico 57 years, coming here at the time of her marriage. Survivors include three nieces, Miss Lona Kranz, Mexico; Mrs. Mildred Frey, Syracuse, and Mrs. George Gapp, Buffalo; three nephews, Clifford Lodge and Gifford Knight, both of Mexico, and Sylvester Knight of Phelps. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Allan R. Dodge, pastor of Mexico Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Daysville cemetery.
