- Mrs. Wm. Dana's Funeral Is Held
Mrs. Frances Collins Dana, 68, wife of William Dana of Sandy Creek, died April 29, 1954, in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient for a week with a heart ailment.
Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Weston and
Woodard funeral home, with Rev. Leland Webster of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.
Born In Clayton
Mrs. Dana was born March 6, 1886 at Clayton, the daughter of
Frando and Princetta Collins, and spent the early part of her life there.
She is survived by her husband and five sons, William, Watertown; Harley, Sandy Creek, Harrison, Pulaski, and James and Ernest, Lacoha; three daughters, Mrs; Rolon (Elsie) Helbock, Sandy Creek; Mrs. George (Mildred) Stewart, Mannsville, and Mrs. William (Charlotte) Oakes, Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Emma) Chapman, Watertown, and Mrs. Joseph (Flossie) Wood, Clayton, and a brother, Herbert Collins, Utica. Twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
