Newspaper Obituary - Saturday May 6, 1972 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Clara E. Ewart, 89, widow of Ben Ewart of Town Line Road, Pulaski, RD 4, died last night at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where she had been a patient 16 weeks. She was born September 14, 1882 in Daysville, daughter of Joseph and Mary Price Dawley, attending school at Daysville, she was married to Mr. Ewart on January 25, 1902 in Pulaski. He was a cheese maker in Orwell area. He died June 3, 1962. Surviving are two grandchildren, Lewis Ewart of Pulaski and Kent Crane of Washington, D. C., nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Earl (Bessie) Wood of Port Ontario. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Foster-Flax Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Tubbs, pastor of Macedon Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
