      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, March 21, 1949 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Melvin Hutchins, 72, died late Sunday afternoon in his apartment in North Jefferson street. He had been in failing health for the past year. He was born in Pulaski September 23, 1876, son of W. Ross and Janet Burdick Hutchins. He had been a machinist at the Regal plant for many years and later, until his retirement, with the Northern Industries. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Watertown. Besides his wife, Mrs. Goldie Donough Hutchins, whom he married on December 16, 1910, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard Sharpe, Syracuse, and Mrs. Warren Havens, Pulaski, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Taylor funeral home, where friends may call at their convenience, by Rev. Frederick L. Taylor, pastor of the Pulaski Baptist church. Burial will be in Willis cemetery.
