      Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, September 18, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - William J. Lewis, Retired Farmer, Dies At 78 - William J. Lewis, 78, Richland Road, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St., with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Surviving are a son, William F., Pulaski; four grandchildren; two brothers, Robert, Pulaski, and John, Martville, and three sisters, Dorothy Browne, South Carolina, Beverly March, Cato, and Carol Marley, Fulton. Born in Williamstown on June 17, 1915, a son of John and Jennie Braley Lewis, he married Abbie H. Crossett June 25, 1938, at the home of her parents in Orwell. She died November 30, 1980. Mr. Lewis owned and operated a dairy farm on the Richland Road for 40 years and was town of Richland welfare officer for 10 years. He had been a resident of Pulaski since 1942.
