    • Newspaper Obituary - August 31, 2014 Syracuse Post Standard - Donald B. Russell, 79, went home to be with the Lord, on August 27, 2014 with his loving family at his side. He was born on February 27, 1935 in Syracuse, NY. Donald was married to the love of his life, Rosalie Greene, for 58 years. He was a Conrail Conductor for over 40 years. Don was a member of the North Mexico Union Church, a former member of the Caughdenoy UMC, a life member of the Caughdenoy VFD and the National REA. Donald enjoyed family gatherings and will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Donald was predeceased by parents, Ralph and Marie Russell. Don is survived by his wife, Rosalie; daughters, Deborah (Mark) O'Mara, Cheri (Tom) Howell, and Donna (Doug) Marshall; eight grandchildren and three (plus 2 in October) great-granddaughters; a brother, Roger; three sisters, Betty, Joyce and Marlene; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, August 31, 2014, at the Caughdenoy United Methodist Church. Calling hours are on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Oswego County, Caughdenoy VFD, Caughdenoy UMC, or the Jerusalem Prayer Team. Date of Death: August 27, 2014
