- Newspaper Obituary - October 4, 1995 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - LEWIS WILDER, SANDY CREEK, DIES IN OSWEGO - Lewis E. Wilder, 68, of 7422 Fraser Road, died at 8:26 p.m. Monday in the emergency room at Oswego Hospital after being stricken at his home. A memorial service will at 11 a.m. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home with the Rev. Lorraine Zimmerman, pastor the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Surviving are a daughter, JoAnne VanRy, Sandy Creek; two sons, Ronald L., Syracuse, and Randy J., Sandy Creek; a sister, Irene Fuller, Sandy Creek; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A son, Timothy Michael, died March 6, 1964, at age 23 months. Born Aug. 15, 1927, in the town of Sandy Creek, son of Radcliffe and Bessie Crandall Wilder, he graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1944. He retired in 1989 from Cable Solutions Co., Pulaski, and previously was employed by Ripstone Silo and Blount Lumber Co., both in Lacona. Mr. Wilder was a member of Sandy Creek United Methodist Church, the Seed Savers Exchange and Sandy Creek Corale 97, A.A.H.A. A marriage to Margaret Caufield ended in divorce.
