- Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, October 31, 1967 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Rites Thursday - Lewis Henderson Dies; Was School Bus Driver - PARISH - Lewis A. Henderson, 57, of Main Street, Parish, died unexpectedly Monday morning at his home. He was born in Parish, he was employed as a school bus driver for the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School system 15 years. He was a member of the Parish Methodist Church, and the Parish Grange. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Russell Horning Post, 601, American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Smith Henderson; two brothers, Milard Henderson of Syracuse and Raymond Henderson of Altmar; his mother, Mrs. Anna Henderson and several aunts and uncles. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Parish Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday at the Harter Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Parish Methodist Church building fund.
