Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 12, 1968 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Today For Ben Kling - Benjamin L. Kling, 78, died very suddenly at his Lehigh Road home Monday, December 9. He was active until the time of his death. He was born July 8, 1890, at Morris, Minnesota, the son of Jacob and Mary Lemmenter Kling, and grew up in Minnesota. He was married October 9, 1917 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Anna Walters, who died in 1963. Mr. Kling worked as a farmer and at the blacksmith trade for many years. He served as Justice of the Peace for the Town of Richland from 1954 to 1958 when he became a Town of Richland Councilman, a position he held at the time of his death. He almost never failed to attend town board meetings. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Faye (Helen) Fox, and Mrs. John (Katherine) Fish; a son, LeRoy Kling; two brothers, Carl Kling and George Kling, all of Pulaski; and a sister, Mrs. Martha Smith of California; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home with the Rev. Nelson R. Reppert, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery.
