    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 22, 2016 The Citizen - Auburn, New York - Reta R. Horr - Port Byron - Reta R. Horr, 81, of Centerport Road, Port Byron, passed away Aug. 26, 2016 at her home with her husband by her side. Reta was the daughter of Harry and Laura Rosecrans; she was born in Port Byron on Nov. 15, 1934. She was valedictorian of the 1952 graduating class and attended Auburn Business School. Reta worked at Columbian Rope until she devoted her attentions to raising her family. A member of the Free Methodist Church. Reta resided in Port Byron until muliple myeloma claimed her life. Reta is survived by her husband of 57 years, LaVerne E. Horr; sister, Jean Martin, of Camillus; sons, Terry Horr, of Gray, Maine, and Ronald (Julie) Horr of Port Byron, and grandsons, Justin, Ryan, and Christopher. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at the Audion Funeral Home, LLC, 218 Main St., Port Byron. Services will follow at 12:15 p.m. from the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, NY 13021 or the Port Byron Fire Department, P.O. Box 367, Port Byron, NY 13140.
