      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, July 13, 1987 Banner Times - Pulaski, New York - Catherine M. Lester age 87 of Richland died Thursday morning July 9, 1987 at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown. She was born February 15, 1900, the daughter of Charles and Coral Clark Bennett at Altmar, New York. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1918 and Sandy Creek Training Cass in 1919. She taught in the Springbrook School District. She married Hobert Lester March 17, 1920 at Richland. She and her husband owned and operated a John Deere farm machinery business for many years. They resided in the Richland area all of their married life. She was a member of the Orwell Rebekah Lodge, a fifty-four year member of the Pulaski Grange No. 730 and a member of the Richland Church of Christ. Survivors include four daughters, Hazel Babcock of Henderson; Mildred Minot of Richland; Dorothy Schryver of Mannsville, and Irma Chapman of Brewerton; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11 at the Foster Hax Funeral Home 'with Rev. Catherine Salisbury officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Richland Church of Christ or NOCA.
