- Newspaper Obituary - Syracuse Post Standard November 29, 1980 Harry J. Lighthall Jr. - Oneida - Harry J. Lighthall Jr., 43, of Sweatman Avenue was pronounced dead on arrival at Oneida Hospital Friday after being stricken at his residence. A life resident of Oneida, Lighthall was employed with the maintenance department of Smith Lee Corp., Oneida, for over 12 years. He was a member of the Oneida Moose Lodge, No. 421, and was a former member of the Oneida Owl's Nest. Surviving are his wife, Gail; five sons, Virgil, Harry J. III, George and William, all of Canastota, and Milton H. at Home; four daughters, Virginia and Judy Lighthall, both of Canastota, and Lisa and Gail, both at home, his mother, the former Zadie Streun of Oneida; five sisters, Mrs. Gladys Joslyn, Mrs. Marie Winchell and Mrs. Geraldine Bowman, all of Oneida, Mrs. Frances Joslyn of Sylvan Beach and Mrs. Dorthy Drake of Rome; a grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Coolcan-McSweeney Funeral Home, Oneida. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida.
