- Newspaper Obituary - December 8, 1980 Pulaski Democrat - The funeral for Lawson M. Lighthall, 91, of 7262 Lake St., was held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with Rev. Frederick M. Carlson, pastor of the Mannsville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Mr. Lighthall died Monday morning at the home of his son, Douglas, Mannsville, Route 2. He is survived by his son, Douglas; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Winona) Kirchhoff, Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Noel, Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Lura Dodge and Mrs. Charles (Lena) Balcom, Pulaski; a cousin, Marshall Minot, Richland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Born June 25, 1889, in Richland, a son of Elton and Anna Ames Lighthall, he attended Pulaski schools and married Jennie E. Edwards June 15, 1915. The couple lived in Amsterdam where he was a self-employed interior decorator. He was later a substitute mail carrier in the Pulaski post office and operated a farm and poultry business on the Lake Street Road, Pulaski, retiring in 1964. Mrs. Lighthall died Dec. 9, 1963, at the age of 72.
