    • Online Obituary - Betty J. Coon - (November 17, 1922 - January 14, 2016) - Betty J. Coon, aged 93, life resident of Pulaski passed away Thursday at Oswego Hospital. Betty was born November 17, 1922 in Pulaski, the daughter of Clifford and Mary Austin Lynn. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1940 and from CCBI in Syracuse in 1942. Betty married Bert Coon on August 19, 1943 and he passed away in March of 2000. She was employed at Oswego County Cooperative Extension in Mexico, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Pulaski Baptist Church and a volunteer at the Pulaski Historical Society. Surviving are one son, John (Linda) Coon of Cicero, one daughter Linda (Dean) Burdick of Central Square, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by one son, David Coon, who passed away in December of 2004. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral. Donations may be made to the Pulaski Historical Society, 3428 Maple Ave., Pulaski, NY 13142.
