    • Newspaper Obituary - April 6, 1922 Sandy Creek News - Wilbur F. Jamerson - Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Wilbur F. Jamerson, aged 73 years, passed away at his home east of Lacona. Mr. Jamerson was a native of West Martinsburg and married Miss Hattie Hale, daughter of Darius Hale of the town of Sandy Creek. Two sons blessed this union, both of whom have died. During his active life they lived at the Hale farm, south of the village, later owning a farm between the Ridge Road and the Carpenter school house. Mr. Jamerson has been in failing health for some time but more rapidly since the death of his son, WIlliam D. Jamerson, less than a month ago. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock at the home, Rev. T. T. Davies officiating.

      Newspaper Obituary - April 20, 1922 Sandy Creek News - Wilbur F. Jamerson - In the passing of Wilbur F. Jamerson, which occurred at his home, on the Ridge Road, east of Lacona, Wednesday, April 5, 1922, the town lost a citizen honored and respected by all who knew him. He had been in failing health during the latter years of his life. He was born at Martinsburg, N.Y., Nov. 27, 1848, the son of Levi and Susan Jamerson. He was united in marriage in 1871 to Miss Hattie Hale, daughter of Darius and Cynthia Hale. This union was blessed by two sons, who after reaching manhood, and had established a home of their own, passed away to the intense and abiding sorry of their wives and parents. Charles W. died some ten years ago and William D. in the midst of usefulness and activity was laid in God's Acre recently. The funeral services was held at his late home Saturday, April 8, when friends and neighbors met to shed silent and sympathizing tears by reason of the loss sustained by the departure of one whom they loved, Rev. T. T. Davies officiating. Burial in the Woodlawn cemetery. The floral tributes were elaborate and beautiful. He is survived by his widow, who in her sorrow and loneliness, has the sympathy of her many friends. Thus on by one of our friends are being gathered home and the world is emptier and life sadder, because of their absence. Mr. Jamerson was a man of real worth and never failed to add his quota to the universal good of humanity.
