      Katherine Hare Upton, 89, of 7425 Park St., died at Tuesday evening at Oswego Hospital.
      The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
      Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to United Friends of Homeless Animals, Pulaski.
      Surviving are a daughter, Jean Pelham, Delmar, and six grandchildren.
      A son, David, died in 1993.
      Born July 23, 1906, in Pulaski, daughter of Richard and Nettie Dingman Hare, she graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1926 and from Central City Business Institute, Syracuse, in 1927.
      Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Farmers National Bank, Adams.
      She married Harold C. Upton Feb. 22, 1932, in Pulaski at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. Upton died Jan. 31, 1969.
      Mrs. Upton was a member of Pulaski Senior Citizens, Pulaski Historical Society, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the United Friends of Homeless Animals. She also volunteered at Trash and Treasure Shop for many years.
      She was receptionist at the Senior Nutrition Site in Pulaski for several years.
