    • Newspaper Obituary - Friday, September 5, 1969 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Martin Ray Allen - Central Square - Martin Ray Allen, 55, of 4389 Oak Oarchard Rd., Clay RD 2, died Friday morning in St. Joseph's Hospital after a short illness. A native of Central Square, he had resided in Syracuse before removing to Clay about 15 years ago. He was a self employed carpenter and floor finisher, and an amateur radio operator. Mr. Allen was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Brewerton. He is survived by his wife Helen Skotak Allen; three sons, Martin J. Allen, Nedrow, William Allen, Liverpool and Frederick Allen, Syracuse; nine daughters, Mrs. Ray Carr, Nedrow; Mrs. Frank Romeo, Syracuse and Misses Sandra Jean, Helen Marie, Patricia Ann, Jacquelyn Lee, Melanie Sue, Kimberly Jo and Penelope Mae Allen, all at home; 17 grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard and Charles Allen, Central Square and Marion Allen, New Jersey; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Windey Sr., Central Square and Mrs. Georgia Ina Painter, Fulton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Watson funeral home, with the Rev. Harland McGill officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
