- Newspaper Obituary - February 13, 1980 - SANDY CREEK - Mrs. Louise Jamerson, 81, Lake Street, widow of Earl W. Jamerson, died Friday morning at the House of the Good Samaritan where she had been a patient since Jan. 27. She was born July 12, 1898 in Sandy Creek, daughter of the late Thomas and Leona Weed Burnham. She was educated in Sandy Creek schools. She and Earl W. Jamerson were married March 31, 1917, at Sandy Creek where they owned and operated a dairy farm. Mrs. Jamerson was employed by the Corse Press. Mr. Jamerson died in 1967. Mrs. Jamerson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen J. Jones, Rome; three grandchildren, William J. Jones, David W. Jones and Mrs. Betty L. Reid, and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Howard, died as an infant. The funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday at the Summerville Funeral Home. Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiated. There will be a spring burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church or the Northern Oswego County Ambulance Corps. Mrs. Jamerson was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Sandy Creek Grange 127 and the Wednesday Club.
