    • Newspaper Obituary - June 16, 1949 Pulaski Democrat - Gordon Stewart Taken By Death - Gordon E. Stewart, 56, died Friday at his home in Port street following a long illness. Funeral services were held from the Foster funeral home in Park street, Monday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Frederick L. Anderson, pastor of the Baptist church. Interment was made in the Pulaski cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Edgar Stewart, his wife, Mrs. Helen Emery Stewart and one son, Harold Stewart. Mr. Stewart was born in Richland, Nov. 11, 1892 the son of Edgar and Grace Hollenbeck Stewart. He was educated in the Pulaski schools, and has lived in this vicinity his entire life. He had been a great hunter, trapper, and fisherman, and was well known for his ability to make snowshoes. He was a veteran of World War 1.
