    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 21, 1958 - Last Rites for Henry Guthrie - Last rites for Henry P. Guthrie, 71, who died Monday in the Oswego Hospital were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Page, pastor of the Congregational Church officiated. Interment was in Pulaski Cemetery. Mr. Guthrie, who had lived at 25 Park St, for the past two years suffered a heart attack last Friday and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is survived by a son and a daughter, William S. Guthrie and Mrs. Julia G. Stevens, both of Pulaski; and five grandchildren, Gary, Craig and Judy Stevens, and Nancy and Jane S. Guthrie. Mr. Guthrie was born at Philadelphia, N. Y., Nov. 3, 1886, the son of William J. and Julia A. Carpenter Guthrie. His early life was spent in Philadelphia where he attended school. He came to Pulaski in Dec. 1917 when he was married to Miss Violet Stewart on Dec. 12, 1917, and has lived here since that time. Mrs. Guthrie died in March 1922. He had clerked, in various stores in the village, retiring several years ago from active work.
