Notes - George Reed was a well-known resident and Justice of the Peace in Canajoharie. He had a history of heart trouble, although he conducted business as usual. He died a the age of 73, and was the son of James E and Viletta Hubbs Reed. He had been a resident of Canajoharie all his life. The Reed family was prominent at one time, conducting a hardware store. He married Ada Clark, the daughter of I.R. Clark, another very successful resident of the community.
