    • Ernest L. Stowell died suddenly at his home in So. Jefferson St., last Wednesday night. Mr. Stowell, who for years has been employed by the Chas. Tollner's Sons Co. worked as usual all day, and spent the evening with his family, making no complaint of feeling ill. He retired early and about midnight his wife was awakened by his labored breathing.

      Death followed before a physician could be reached. Coroner Leroy F. Hollis, of Lacona, was called but decided that an inquest was unnecessary. Dr. F.E. MacCallum signed the death certificate giving as the cause of the death acute indigestion.

      Mr. Stowell was born April 17, 1861 in the town of Sandy Creek, son of Hira m and Charlotte Stowell and had been a resident of this village more than 10 years. Surviving, besides his widow, are a son, Richard Stowell, who lives at home, and four daughters, Mrs. William Green, Mrs. Clyde Lacelle, Miss Charlotte Stowell and Miss Mary Stowell, all of Pulaski.

      Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock, Saturday afternoon from the Congregational church, Rev. William MacLeod officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Lehigh district.
