    • Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, May 12, 1953 Oswego Palladium Times - William S. Richards - William S. Richards, 201 Conway Terrace, died unexpectedly last night in Oswego Hospital where he was a patient only a few hours. Born in Pulaski, a son of the late Adelbert and Freelove Stewart Richards, he had resided in Oswego 29 years, coming here from Watertown in 1924. He was a branch manager for Armour & Co. in Oswego. Prior to coming here Mr. Richards was an accountant in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Mr. Richards was a member of the First Methodist church and was a member of Greenpoint Lodge, F & A.M. of Brooklyn, Whango Grotto of Oswego and the Leatherstocking Club here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Jicha Richards; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas M. (Lola R.) McGough, and two grandchildren, William and Thomas McGough of Oswego. Friends are invited to attend the funeral at the Scoville Funeral Home, 46. W. Cayuga St., Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Allan T. Dodge, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial at Pulaski. Friends may call at the Funeral Home 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock tomorrow.

      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 14, 1953 Oswego Palladium Times - Funerals - William S. Richards - The funeral of William S. Richards, son of the late Adelbert and Freelove Stewart Richards was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Scoville funeral home, the Rev. David Jones, rector of the Church of the Evangelists officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. The bearers were James Shay, H.S. Mattot, Frank Metcalf, Charles Wills, James McCrudden and Ross Oxner.
