Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 26, 1933 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Albert T. Stewart passed away Friday morning, October 20th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Etta Dyke, North road. Six weeks ago Mr. Stewart suffered a paralytic stroke, from which he failed to recover. Had he lived until Saturday he would have reached his 89th birthday. He was born in Frankfort, October 21, 1844, son of the late Parden and Prudence Dyke Stewart. For 30 years he conducted a general store in Frankfort. Retiring from active business in 1903 he came here to make his home with his daughters, Mrs. William S. Kranz and Mrs. Milton Landphere, both now deceased, and Mrs. Dyke. He was a member of the North Mexico Methodist Episcopal church and a silver star member of Mexico Grange. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Dyke with whom he made his home, he is survived by two sons-in-law, Mr. Kranz and Mr. Landphere; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Last rites were held at the Dyke home on Monday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. B. L. Waters, pastor of the North Mexico M. E. church officiating. Interment was in Daysville cemetery. The bearers were George Dyke, Pulaski; Jesse Dyke, Milton Landphere and William Kranz, of Mexico.
