    • Newspaper Obituary - March 5, 1931 Sandy Creek News - Mrs. Leonora Cook Brown - Mrs. Leonora Cook Brown, wife of F.J. Brown, passed away at her home in Sandy Creek March 1, 1931. She was born, April 16, 1853 in Mannsville, N.Y., her parents being Isaac and Rhobie Caldwell Cook. Her early life was spent in the vicinitiy of Mannsville and she was educated in the schools of that place. February 15, 1873, she was united in marriage to F.J. Brown, son of Ferrendez and Catherine Brown, their life together being spent at Mannsville and Sandy Creek. Four children were born to them, Olin I, Sadie E., Anna R. and Howard F. Funeral services were held on March 3 at her home in Sandy Creek. Rev. F. Fennen of the Baptist Church officiated, assisted Rev. T.T. Davies, pastor of the Congregational Church. Burial was made in Woodlawn cemetery, Sandy Creek. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, a son, Orin I. Brown, and a daughter, Miss Anna B. Brown. She was of a quiet, home loving nature and her loss will be most keenly felt. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She had been in poor health for some time, having been confined to her home for several months and her bed the greater part of the time since last September.
