Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 8, 1923 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Charles S. Filkins Dies In Syracuse - Charles S. Filkins, formerly of this village, for some time a resident of Syracuse, died in Syracuse, August 5. Mr. Filkins was son of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Filkins of this village. He is survived by his wife, his mother, one brother, John Filkins, of Orwell; two sisters, Mrs. Ashton Avery and Mrs. George Stowell, both of this village. Funeral services were held in Syracuse, Monday evening, at 8 o'clock, in order to give his associates in business an opportunity to attend. The body was brought to Daysville cemetery yesterday afternoon where committal services were conducted by the Rev. Charles T. Holcombe.
