  December 31, 1890 ~ Edward W. Lacey, age 25 years, 5 months, 9 days, Single, Laborer, born in Sandy Creek, New York, Son of James and Ann Lacey, died in Richland Township of paralysis. Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 8, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - South Richland - The home of Mrs. Lacy has again been invaded by the most unwelcome of guests and taken a loved one. Although his sickness and suffering had been of more than eight years duration, yet, there was a hope in the hearts of the friends that he might be better; yet as the old year faded and died, so did he, and his funeral was held at Pulaski on Saturday last, and all there is left today of Edward Lacy, once strong, _ and happy, is the memory held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. December seems a sad month for the Lacy family, as it was during that month that Mr. Lacy died and so did Edward and Catherine, aged fourteen, and Joanna, aged four, children of Mr. and Mrs. Lacy. Mrs. Lacy's brother, Mr. McCormick, of Rome, was present at the funeral.
