    • He moved to Pulaski around 1870, and worked as a mechanic for Mr. Charles Tollner for eight or nine years. In this period he built a good home on Mill street which he mortgaged to get money to go into the furniture business. He was considered to be a hard working and honorable man while in Pulaski, which lead to later trouble for him since he was also friendly and easygoing. After he left Pulaski he settled in Oswego in 1883, where he ran a hotel and saloon called "Christmas Tree". This place became notorious in the city for its rough clientele and then later for the selling for alcohol to boys that were underage. In 1884 a music teacher, M.B. Dixon, from Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY, fell down the stairs from the hotel and broke his neck.

      Newpspaer Obituary - April 26, 1911 Pulaski Democrat - G. R. Wyman who has been ill some months died last Wednesday (April 19, 1911). Funeral was held Friday at 2pm in the M. E. Church, Rev. E. A. Rogers officiating. Burial at Orwell. He leaves a wife and one daughter.
