  Newspaper Obituary - September 10, 2003 Delaware State News - Dover, Delaware - Mina G. Cotullas, 90 - DOVER - Mina G. Cotullas of Dover died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, in her home surrounded by her loving caregivers. She was 90. Mrs. Cotullas was born May 30, 1913, in Richland, N.Y., daughter of the late Charles A. and Edna Nelty (Netty) Look. Her early education began in a one-room schoolhouse in the Richland area, which concluded with a short stay in an orphanage. She began her working career at Niagara Mohawk Power Co., Syracuse, N.Y., which lasted 20 years. It was then she met the love of her life, James P. Cotullas. They were married May 28, 1950. They owned and operated several restaurants, including the Cozy Nook, the Golden Apple and the Crest Luncheonette in the New Syracuse area and the Blue Lantern near Nazareth, Pa. During her marriage, Mrs. Cotullas enjoyed three trips to Greece, spending a total of four years with her husband's family. In 1973, they moved to Dover, making it their permanent home. She enjoyed life as a homemaker and also worked for Kmart for five years. She accepted the Lord as her personal savior at age 27 and continued to nurture that relationship throughout her life. Mrs. Cotullas enjoyed her later years watching her favorite television ministries, reading her Bible and listening to gossip tapes. She loved visits from her friends, sharing jigsaw puzzles, card games and the labors of her flower garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James P. Cotullas, on Dec. 23, 1987. She is survived by a son, David Cotullas of Dover; two grandchildren, James Cotullas of Dover and Katherine Cotullas of Harrington; and an extended family of devoted friends and loving caregivers. Services will be noon Thursday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours before services. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. Instead of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
