Charles Dingman, lifelong resident of the town of Sandy Creek, died Tuesday morning April 16, 1941, at the home of his daughter Mrs William Gerow, Oswego, where he had lived for the past few years. He was a farmer until ill health forced him to retire. He was born in this town May 16, 1858, the son of Peter Dingman and Hannah Zufelt, pioneer settlers in the western part of the town. He is survived by his widow, who resides with Mrs Gerow in Oswego, by one son Earl Dingman of Lacona, the daughter Mrs Gerow, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Weston and Woodard funeral parlors at 2 o'clock Thursday, with burial in the family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery.
