Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 7, 1906 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Ann J. Richards, widow of A. S. Richards, entered into her heavenly rest last Thursday night, after a brief illness of pneumonia. She was taken ill the previous week, and was attended by a doctor and nurse and while she improved until the last, heart failure caused her demise. She was in her 81st year and had lived in our village 40 years. She was a deaconess of the First Baptist church, an office which she honored by her Christian character. She was an active Christian considering her health, and had great interest in missions, temperance, and all the work of the church. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and in the church she was an honored member. Before her death, which she did not fear and made preparation for, she had a heavenly vision calling her. She said she wished others could have seen and felt what she felt. It was beyond description. She peacefully slept herself away as she had prayed and fell asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep, to awake in heaven. Her funeral will be held at 1:30 to-morrow at the Baptist meeting house Rev. A. I. Ehle officiating. Burial beside her husband, son and daughter, Sonora, in the South Richland cemetery.
