    • George H. Edick - April 6, 1841 - February 27, 1919. Son of William and Harriet Scott Edick. Husband of Adelaide Victoria Staple Edick.

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 5, 1919 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Thursday morning, at four o'clock, occurred the death of Mr. George H. Edick, one of the best known men in Oswego county. He was stricken with heart trouble ten days before his death. Mr. Edick was born in the south part of the town of Richland April 6, 1841. He lived on a farm until 1909 when he came to Pulaski to live, making his home in the court house while his son, Grant G. Edick, was deputy sheriff. When they left the court house they went to the home they had purchased in Jefferson Street. Mr. Edick was active in buying and selling stock and did an extensive business in that line. He was active in politics and was a leader in the Republican party. Though he never held an office he was many times in position to receive the honors but declined. He is survived by his widow, one son, Grant G. Edick, two daughters, Mrs. Frank White of this village and Mrs. H. E. Wood, of Marathon and a brother, John Edick, of Fernwood. Funeral services were held at the family home, Saturday afternoon, at two o'clock, Rev. Frederick Maunder, of Utica, officiating. Burial in Willis cemetery.
