Mae B. Worme, 83, of 7419 Port St., died Thursday at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of the Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Park United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two nephews.
Born Jan. 4, 1907, in Richland, daughter of Tracy and Blanche Petrie Burch, she graduated from Pulaski Academy High School and later from Oswego Teachers College. She taught at schools on Long Island and later at Altmar School for many years, retiring in 1970.
She first married James R. Lugar, who died Aug. 15, 1962. She married Hugh Worme in 1975.
She was a member of the Pulaski Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 159 and served as a grand chaplain at one time. She was also a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association, the Oswego County Retired Teachers Association, the Pulaski DAR, Park United Methodist Church, the Pulaski Tuesday Club and the Pulaski Civic Club.
