    • Newspaper Obituary - Friday, February 9, 1923 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Benjamin Denny, aged 78 years, passed away at an early hour this morning at the home of his son, Joseph Denny, 13 Catherine street, following a short illness. Deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, a member of Company E, Fourth Regiment of New York Cavalry. He was later transferred to Company E, First New York Mounted Rifles, [serving under Captain L. B. Gregory. He was a member of Ranson Post, G. A. R., No. 35, Ogdensburg, where he spent 20 years, always residing here, and coming back in 1909, where he continued to live. Mr. Denny was a mason by trade and a member of local Union 54. He was well known and highly regarded by a large circle of friends. Surviving are three sons, William, of Ogdensburg, Grant and Joseph, of this city, and one stepson. Frank McMaster, of Oswego; two daughters, Mrs. Libbie Faledor, Syracuse, Mrs. Eva Fay, New Haven, Conn., and one step-daughter, Mrs. Bertha Denny, Ogdensburg, also three sisters, Mrs. Eva Bushay Brooklyn, Mrs. Lizzie Wright; Ogdensburg, and Mrs. Josephine Green, Auburn; fourteen grandchildren and six great¬grandchildren.

      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 12, 1923 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - The funeral of Benjamin Denny was held this morning from the family home, 13 Catherine street, at nine o'clock and at St. Loui's church at 9:30, where the Rev. Joseph Wilmes officiated at the requiem mass. The bearers were Fred Mentro, Richard McLaughlin, Barnell McLaughlin, Arther Bisconette, Joseph Zaia and John B. Sorrow. Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery.
