James R. Ladouceur, 56, County Route 22, died Sunday at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. He had been ill with a heart condition.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Summerville Funeral Home, 8192 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Anthony Keeffe, pastor of St. John's Church, Pulaski, presiding. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon; two sons, Sevre, Orwell, and Cletus, Casselberry, Fla.; three daughters, Tamara and Trisha, both of Orwell, and Lynn Felio, Clarksville, Tenn.; two grandchildren; a brother, Roy, Texas; three sisters, Sherri Belge, Jamesville, Jean Hollis, Ogdensburg, and Carol Gloska, North Carolina, and several nephews and nieces.
Born in Ogdensburg on June 17, 1936, a son of Royal and Marion Armstrong Ladouceur, he was a graduate of Ogdensburg High School.
Mr. Ladouceur had been a resident of northern Oswego County since 1960. He served with the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with IBEW Local 910, Watertown, as an electrician until his retirement four years age due to illness.
Mr. and Mrs. Ladouceur had owned and operated Knit-Wits' Diner for the past three years. He was a member of the American Legion Post, Adams, and the Elks Club, Oswego.

James R. Ladouceur, 56, of County Route 22, died Sunday at House of the Good Samaritan Hospital in Watertown after a lengthy illness.
A native of Ogdensburg, Mr. Ladouceur graduated from Ogdensburg High School. Mr. Lacouceur has lived in northern Oswego County since 1960. He was an electrician and was employed out of IBEW Local 910 in Watertown. He retired four years ago due to ill health.
For the past three years, Mr. Ladouceur and his wife operated Knit-Wits' Diner in Orwell. He is a Korean War veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-57. He was a member of the Adams American Legion Post and the Oswego Elks Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sharon Shaw of Orwell; three daughters, Tamara and Trisha, both of Orwell, and Mrs. Lynn Felio of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sons, Sevre of Orwell, and Cletus of Casselberry, Fla.; three sisters, Sherri Belge of Jamesville, N.Y., Jean Hollis of Ogdensburg, and Carol Gloska of North Carolina; a brother, Roy of Texas; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek. The Rev. Anthony Keeffe will be officiating. Spring burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Orwell. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 8192 Harwood Drive.
