      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 17, 1946 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - L. E. Ferguson Dies At Daughter's Home - Leslie E. Ferguson, 69, well known resident of Pulaski, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emily Parsons of Norman Avenue, Mexico, early Wednesday morning after an illness of several months. Born in Daysville, September 15, 1877, a son of the late George and Sophia Hornbustal, he lived in Pulaski for more than 30 years and was a farmer by occupation. On February 2, 1907, he married Lydia Russell who died eight years ago. His only son, Sidney R. Ferguson, died in Arabia, July 15, 1945. He was a member of Fernwood M. E. Church and of Pulaski Grange. Surviving, besides his daughter, Mrs. Parsons, are three grandchildren, Catherine, Priscilla and Betsy Parsons, Mexico; one brother Vernon Ferguson, Wolcott; one sister, Mrs. Olive L. Buer, Bristol, Connecticut, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter in Mexico at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. E. S. Beebe officiating. Burial will be in Willis cemetery.
