    • Obituary of Daniel M. Hooge
      Daniel M. Hooge, age 67, resident of Pulaski, for the last 52 years, passed away Thursday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Dan was born November 19, 1954 in Syracuse, the son of Robert and Lena Snyder Hooge. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1972. Dan married Caprice Moot Hooge on March 3, 1973 and she passed away September 24, 2009. He was employed by the Fulton Companies in Pulaski for 37 years, retiring in 2009. Dan was a bowling enthusiast; he was a member of the elite Snowbelt 700 Club and bowled a 300 game eight times. He was also a longtime member of several area bowling leagues. Dan enjoyed sports and loved to golf, (even if he wasn’t very good). He always rooted for his favorite sports teams, including SU, the Yankees and the Steelers.

      Surviving, are his children, Nicole (David) Blodgett of Sheldon, VT, Melissa (Jeffrey) Hugelmaier of Brockport and Daniel (Kelly) Hooge II of Penfield, his companion and lifelong friend, Carrie Gayne, her son and Dan’s godson, Tyler Gayne, one brother, Robert (Donna) Hooge of Mexico, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his brother Charles Hooge and sister Susan Fisher.

      Funeral services will be held 5 p.m., Monday, March 28th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service.
