      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 13, 1937 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Theresa, January 13 - Mrs. Clara King Bohanon, 80, Selkirk Shores, well known resident of Oswego county, died here Tuesday morning while visiting her daughter, Mrs. E. M. Barnard in Depot street. Mrs. Bohanon often visited here and came here several weeks ago and was taken ill about ten days ago. She was born October 27, 1856, near Texas, Oswego county, a daughter of James and Susan Stacey King. Her father was a soldier in the Civil war, and died in the Rebel prison pen at Andersonville. She was married to George Bohanon who died several years ago. Much of her married life was spent at their home in Selkirk Shores. She was a member of the Bethel Union church at that place and very active in community work. She is survived by a son, George of Parish, and a daughter, Mrs. E. M. Barnard of this village. There are also five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church at Selkirk Shores, the Bethel Union. Rev. Paul Worden of the St. James Episcopal church of this village accompanying the funeral party from here and taking charge of the service. Burial will be in Daysville cemetery. Prayers will be said from the Barnard residence here Thursday morning at 8:30.
