      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 22, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Lillian F. Tryon Succumbs at Age 56 - Mrs. Lillian F. Tryon, 56, Center Road, Lacona, passed away November 17 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after a short illness. Born December 8, 1915, in Altmar, to James A. and Edith Everson Sherman, she attended Pulaski Academy and Central School. She was married August 21, 1937 in Mannsville, to Herman Tryon, Jr., living in Pineville and Syracuse until 1956 when they moved to Boylston. Mrs. Tryon was a member of the Rising Sun Grange in Boylston. Surviving are her husband, five sons, Lewis J. of Pulaski; Frederick H. of Lacona, Donald G. of Syracuse; Bruce W. and James H. at home. Also surviving are five sisters, Miss Patricia A. Tryon of Utica, Mrs. David (Gladys) Smith of Syracuse, Mrs. Phillip (Alma) Landon of Lacona, Mrs. Walter (Catherine) Gregory of Pineville, Miss Darlene Tryon of Syracuse, six grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Sherman of Florida, Francis Sherman of Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. Ester Scott of Syracuse, several nieces and nephews. The funeral was Monday, November 20 at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home in Pulaski with Rev. Elwyn Putney, pastor of the Boylston Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery, Richland.
