- Newspaper Obituary - June 11, 1987 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - MARION R. DANA - Marion R. Dana, 56, of 9205 Ellisburg St., died Wednesday at her home after a long illness. Born in Pulaski, Mrs. Dana resided most of her life in the Sandy Creek area. She was a former cook at Blount Lumber Co., Lacona. She Dana was a past president of the Sandy Creek Fire Department Auxiliary and AAHA Corral 97. Surviving are her husband, Ernest; two daughters, Barbara Cleveland, of Sandy Creek, and Merri Lynn Weeks, of Tacoma, Wash.; a son, Thomas, of Sandy Creek; two brothers, Arnold, of Sandy Creek, and Fred Caufield, of Pulaski; seven sisters, Margaret Dence, of Sandy Creek, Catherine Ridgeway, Verna Kay Caufield and Judy Donahue, all of Lacona, Patricia Hunt, of Chaumont, Anne Egleston, of Caughdenoy, and Donna Ford, of Red Creek; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home, the Rev. Janet Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (June 11) at the funeral home, 8192 Harwood Drive. Contributions may be made to the Sandy Creek Fire Department.
